Lessons I wish I learned earlier in life without having to go through a storm. I thought I was not going to come out of that period in my life when I was having anxiety attacks. It was a very dark time, all I saw was a stormy cloudy day ahead of me, not knowing when it was going to hit, or how long it was going to last. But as hard as it was I can say that those years taught me many things: – Enjoy every second of the day -No matter what comes up, turn it into something good, see the positive side of the situation – Worrying doesn’t help, it makes things worse – Do at least one good deed, act of kindness a day, it is a great feeling -Listen to music, it will lift your spirit -Enjoy nature, look around you and find beauty – Take at least 5 minutes a day to be by yourself and just be -When you feel unfortunate, list the things that you already have, like electricity, a warm bath, etc., it will make you feel thankful – Don’t worry about what people say or think about you, you’ll never please everybody – If someone hurts you with their words or shows no concern, avoid that person, don’t make yourself a target -Don’t let hurtful words stay with you, they are not worth your time – Laugh, it’s the best medicine – Don’t let one person or one event ruin your day – Speak out, defend yourself, don’t keep quiet – Surround yourself with people that love you, that inspires you, with people you love, positive people, people that care and make you feel good. We all go through storms during our life, but there’s always sunshine after the storm. And one day you will look at the sunset and admire its beauty and you will feel peace and joy; you will no longer see the sunset as the start of a dark night.
